Risen Bread Sauce

300gms Risen Organic White breadcrumbs
1 x Organic onion
Whole cloves
Cinnamon stick
500 mls Organic semi-skimmed milk
Single cream
Salt & pepper

A few hours before bread sauce is required: Peel onion and stick cloves in the flesh. Place in saucepan with the milk and a stick of cinnamon. Bring just to the boil. Cover and cool.

When required: either discard onion, or if you wish to include it, remove cloves and chop up. Pour milk mixture onto the breadcrumbs and heat gently. Season to taste. Just before serving add a little cream.
